Hi, It is safe to migrate from blogger to Wordpress. There is no problem at all. You will regain all your rankings in few days but in case of page rank you will have to wait for next Google PR update. Ya you can do all changes but you will lose PR and backlinks if you are in Google ranking then you cn lose your ranking.
Not a good idea, it losses all the ranking and the popularity if your site. Better to create another blog in wordpress.
when the URL changes, you loose every credit you earned. recently i shifted a domain.com from blogspot format to wordpress format, URL domain.com remains same for me, just blogging platform changed - so i retained every credits i had. but if you're shifting a domain.com to newdomain.com then URL changes, its something new for google! do not delete the old blog, edit every post, put a link to corresponding new blog post's URL (if you have too many posts this maybe tiresome). additionally, you can use a page redirect meta tag in the header with 10 seconds timer. thus, visitors will be taken to new blog
You have to do work hard for getting good PR. In traffic point of view, your site will not get affected.
