Dude WTF? I think I know why she left you. Your so bent out of shape over an e-girlfriend?? You must be like 12. Sorry buddey.

 

It's just a shame... it's not worth it to get so bent over an online girlfriend. I get that you think you have feelings for this chick, but you don't know if she's REALLY trustworthy.

Ok… I’ve been reading this thread and got lost a few posts back!!!! Just to clear a few things, you’re telling me that for five days your “girlfriend” didn’t log on to her account not being able to talk to you for whatever reason and that her “sister” was logging on instead of her to check a few things out???
Maybe it’s just me but doesn’t this sound funny to you?

 

tell her that 7-11 phones sometimes have incoming calls, tell her to give you the number and call her there btw, don't all 16 year olds have their own cells these days?

 

well if you've been "heart broken" you've learned a valuable life lesson w hich all people need to go through. Everyone is replaceable, I assure you.

I've felt before also that I could never give up someone, or life would be miserable without them. But you move on. Its how life is, people come and people go, and you can't stay dwelling on the past or you will live a life of misery.

YOu can't "replace" someone if you can't move on. It may not be that you want to get "rid" of someone or they left you for good or they've have lost their lives, but you do need to move on. And where you felt one emotion you can feel it again in a new stage of your life.

Even family, as close as they are to you (if you have family and they are close to you), would want you to move on. Let go of what has happened and continue to live.

Same goes for love, it is a chemical reaction your brain is designed to release to ensure the quality of your offspring through attachment. Life is to short to dwell on what you cannot control

 

Not everyone, but certainly an online pursuit. I mean honestly, how hot can you be for a computer screen anyway?

 

lol, i know people that have been married after 6 months of meeting online. They have a great healthy marriage about 4 years deep, but it still sounds weird to me

 

Granted, I have heard stores of internet relationships that turn out to be lovely and wonderful and all of that fluffy romantic stuff.

But I can't get past the weirdness of the whole idea, myself.

 

dear people, forget the online meetings! it's hard to know who really is the person in the real life, live - what do you expect from behind of a computer?! go outside, in the park, in a bar, anywhere and meet someone in the real life! leave your computers off for a while! oh.. this cyberworld...

 

It can be weird, but normally it is because people lie online, and when it's time to meet ... it's like meeting a stranger then.

 

yeah i agree, and it sounds and feels kind of creepy. The whole idea of surfing the web for your spouse or "soul-mate", it almost seems hopeless and even disturbing.

But for some people it may be the only way to muster up enough courage to even talk to another person.

idk, not for me, not for most, but definately increasing in popularity every day.

 

The internet definitely allows those who are more shy and softspoken in real life to open up to others, something they wouldn't ordinarily be able to do. The internet is a great place to network and meet people, and sure, even "befriend" them. I think as long as you don't get your hopes up and expect to find your soulmate online, then you'll be okay.

 

Depends on if your thing are well educated, slightly overweight web entrepreneurs with hairy chests, not that I'm describing myself of anything
