    Shawn,

    A idea for you:

Why not release another ad network but for image banner ads. Many users get good sales from the network advertising their products.

I like the idea of "the more banners you give the more you get back" idea.

    Comments?

You are able to display banner ads with the current network, or am I missing something?

I think he wants to use images in the banners instead of just text

I have a few image banners in the coop. You just choose image rather than text and depending on your weight they will show up on those sites where people have chosen the "banner" option.

You rarely see them though as the vast majority seem to be only interested in text links.

Aye, hence I feel a lot of users could benefit from a image only option - a new coop.

    At least I could!

Rather than a whole new network, all that would have to be done is allow the user pulling down their display code to say "Image Banners Only" as an option to make sure they didn't get the little texts in a huge box ads.

I imagine this hasn't been done purely due to lack of interest. I just don't see Shawn starting a whole new Ad Network for what is essentially offered elsewher (banner exchange)

Now if it had very specific categories, then maybe I would think differently as any banner exchange I have seen suffers from two major problems:

    1.) no quality control
2.) no real categories so your ad is mostly on gambling sites, etc

I think you would see that increase dramatically if the option to display only image banners on your site was there. This is the only way I would display a banner as with the current system the solid color background with text links (and sometimes really short descriptions leaving tons of empty space), leaves something to be desired.

If I knew a real banner would be displayed every time (rather than 1% of the time) I would use it

I concur. It seems odd that this option wasn't in there from the start.
