Would he be wearing his cow suit? I think he would look cool in it, rather than wearing jeans with odd bulges.
I think its alittle ironic that out of everyone they choose to sue Shawn. Are they trying to set an example? I am glad Shawn is at least benefiting from all the publicity.
They had no idea who Shawn was when they tried to extort $2500 out of him: http://www.digitalpoint.com/~shawn/2005/11/loeb-and-loeb-mpaa-extortion.html They do this to way too many people, Shawn just happens to be the one that can afford to prove his innocence.
Hmmm... really? I guess I should read the rest of the issue, eh? hah Wonder how that snuck in there... I'm not... I've heard figures being around 20,000 people the MPAA or RIAA has done the same thing to. The thing that makes mine a little different, is I'm forcing them to go to court over it. Everyone else has folded and given what they ask for because they can't afford to fight it. Hopefully we can use the court case to look into the legality of what they are doing to everyone (more or less extortion). Since it hasn't yet been challenged in a court of law there's nothing really that says if what they are doing is legal or not.
Slate has a piece up - noteable for this comment that I haven't seen before - "Hogan's lawyer says the complaint against him comes from "Operation D-Elite," a government investigation of the Elite Torrents file-sharing network that resulted in a series of FBI raids in May of last year. The MPAA says its evidence against Hogan consists of a hash file—data that help users coordinate and verify their downloads." Anybody know more about what this is about?
That peculiar bulges, is that not you balls (sorry for asking) Well, you should look good for any photo shoot. That's why I suggest you wear suits on other future photo shoot.
Sysop may be right, he has the same name as the forum moderator from spiegel.de. Watch out Shawn you may get more exposure perhaps
LOL the whole world is celebrating Shawn as a hero and we are discussing the bulges That's the price you pay for freedom
Looks like someone also stood up to the record industry and got them to drop their suit: http://www.theregister.com/2006/08/03/industry_drops_filesharing_case/ I wonder how relevant this is to Shawn's case - I see a lot of similarity. I know Shawn wishes to take this to court, so I am curious if there is a way they can get out of going to court?
It's pretty relevant to my case... in fact that's my primary legal counsel (Seyamack Kouretchian at Coast Law Group).
