So, for members who, like me, have their leading public on a particular country and this country is not in groups A or B, we just "won" a reduction in earnings? Even if SharingMatrix accepting ALL countries do not make THE SLIGHTEST difference to us?

I have a website, written in Portuguese, which serves the Portuguese-speaking countries, with unique content. Sharingmatrix was the best option for monetizing this site as well as hundreds of other similar sites in Portuguese, such as Alexa rank can prove: BRAZIL (87) - PORTUGAL (171)

We should all go to write in English? Or should we all move only to post on forums? Apparently this is the only goal of each file host: that their members flood the forums with files, in an infinite cloning hell.

In my opinion, with these changes, Sharingmatrix changed from "best option" to "mirror option, at best. Yeah! I know! That's MY problem, but apparently you do not want to help either! Wait for a guaranteed decrease in visitation among Portuguese-speaking countries. UPLOADING.COM is already experiencing this phenomenon.

"Our GUARANTEE to you: If you find an affiliate program with a better payout, contact us and we will beat it!"
On tier C the 100-200 and 200-400 MB ranges are already better paid on Fileserve.com. So...?

We might increase our max file size for free users soon, but we don't want to introduce too many changes at once. As for a %age of premium sales, you always have the option of taking 60% if that works best for you. Compare it to other file hosts and you will see that it is very generous.

We actually bought FileSonic.com a while back (as soon as we acquired SharingMatrix) and it's a coincidence that FileServe has the same initials. We don't believe that this will be a big problem, though.

FileSonic will become a very trusted brand and will help you get more downloads from users. I guarantee you that if you look back a few months from now, you will see that FileSonic would become a very well-known name on the Internet!

We've changed our payouts structure entirely and, if some countries get a higher payout, others will definitely get a lower one. This is the nature of this game! Unfortunately, some countries don't convert as well as others. We will continue to lose money on a lot of countries, but we believe that by compensating the right areas, we will encourage affiliates to go out and get better converting traffic.

We are in the process of revisiting group C's payouts based on feedback and we hope to post an update very soon.

Please note that we definitely pay more than FileServe overall. Focusing on one file size/country group and saying FileServe pays better is not accurate at all. We've run simulations with the structures of other file hosts and we clearly pay more than the others out there. Also, some affiliates are forgetting the 60% of premiums we're offering. This is huge and other file hosts simply do not offer this option.

This is a change, and we understand that some people will not like all changes you make in business. However, we firmly believe that this structure will allow us to better align our partners' interests with ours to ensure a sustainable long-term model where everybody makes a lot of money for a long period of time!

Finally, if you believe that you have a large amount of good traffic that will not be fairly paid, contact us so we can conduct an individual appraisal of your account.

    Best,
    SM Team

You have to offer at least 400kbps download speed for free users if you want to compete with hotfile and fileserve. Speed is your biggest issue.

I agree 100% and it's something we're constantly working towards. It doesn't happen overnight, especially since it's a site we haven't built ourselves. However, the new FileSonic will give us much flexibility, where all we need to do is add more servers to increase free user speed. We don't mind investing in servers, but we need to have the right architecture beforehand.

Stay tuned for a pleasant surprise! :)

PS: even the file hosts you mentioned don't ALWAYS perform better than us. It's a server management game and we are confident that we will take the lead at the right time.

Alright folks, we heard your feedback loud and clear!

We went back to the drawing board and modified our payouts to accommodate as many of your requests as possible.

Please see for the updated (and final!) structure: http://sharingmatrix.com/affiliate

    Notable changes:

    - Big boosts in the payouts for Group C
    - Some countries have been upgraded to group B from C; others have been upgraded from D to C!

Our idea was to take as many of the requests into consideration, so we thank you all for your feedback.

As previously mentioned, if you bring in a lot of traffic that you think is not being fairly compensated for, please contact us for an individual appraisal.

We will always work hard to remain your favorite partners. Let's start uploading and making lots of money together!

    Best regards,
    Your dedicated SharingMatrix team

We've been investigating this issue regularly and we believe that it is something caused by the other host. From what we see, RU to HT hasn't been working in general. We will continue to work hard on this, as we're redesigning every module of our side, including Remote Upload.

    Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for adding Romania and Latvia to the C list. I can see you're trying hard to please your users, so I'll stick with your service.
But I have my doubts regarding FileSonic's initials, as both FileServe and FreakShare have them..
Perhaps SonicFile would have been better? Or LightningShare... or ThunderShare...?
Anyways, things being as they are, I guess the future will tell. Your enthusiasm is contagious, so I wish you good luck with the project! Keep making us happy.

    Allow me one more note.

Please consider different approach to FTP upload. I very appretiate it exists, but 24h activation is very uncomfortable. I am on quite slow upload line and FTP is the most reliable way to upload. I would really appretiate if this 24h time limit could be prolonged or canceled or at least the generated account could stay alive untill the connection is not active for hour.

    thx for considering.

Thanks for the positive feedback! We look forward to serving our affiliates continiously.

As for the initials, as you said, two hosts already share the same initials, and the sites seem to be operating fine :). We believe in the FileSonic brand and we trust that you will too after you see all the great damage we will all do together! :D

I'm still wondering what to do, because Poland in Group C is a complete failure. Many of my friends has a similar problem.

Most throw files over 100 MB, and instead of $ 10 as before now I have only 8$

Guys, if you believe that your traffic is more valuable, you can contact with your requests and info. We will appraise your account and potentially build a custom payout scheme if we find that it is due.

We found the issue! Apparently, it was a bug with some memberships not being counted. Our tech guys are going to recalculate your stats soon. Also, since the bug has been fixed, you shouldn't see this moving forward.

Thanks for the feedback and for being patient!

EDIT: apparently, some stats had already been calculated before I posted this message. My tech team is THAT good :D
