    Hello There,

I am having issue with wordpress database.

    i have a site..

    sitename.com/blog/

    sitename.com/blog2/

i want both the site to use the same database.... so sitename.com/blog/ will have same post ro content as sitename.com/blog2/ ..

But only the design will change.. so if i post an article at sitename.com/blog2/ it will also appear in
    sitename.com/blog/.

Is there a way to do that ?

Please let me know.. It will be a great help..

    Thanks..!!!!

MU set ups can have multiple blogs on a single database, The difference is, MU set ups are designed to read individual blogs.
If you try and put idential information in your wp-config.php file, for 2 different sites, I imagine it will cause you some problems.

But the big questions is why have 2 blogs with identical information?
I can't imagine any benefit to doing that either for promotional purposes, or SEO. One blog is bound to be pushed back into supplemental results. Either way, one blog is going to kill the other and making it worthless in the SERP's.

Anyway, if I were to do that, I would probably auto blog the content into the second blog, or set up an RSS feed on the second blog as additional content.

That way if you do want to make one blog original, you can still post without screwing it up.

I want to make 2 design.. one for a light version and other for a complete version.. lite version is for ppl who have limited data connectivity.. hope you get the idea..so light version will only have text and no images etc..

So then you would have to promote 2 different sites, 2 different ways...with the same content?
How limited is the connectivity of the people you are talking about? 56k?

Just make one site, and optimize it for speed. Compressed images, use cache plug in, etc.

I don't think sharing a database is the way to go. Autoblog it, feed, or offer subscription options.

Not sure you can. WP stores path and blog name in the database.
