And please be nice. This is my first "real" site. It was sort of a brainstorm that I finally decided to sit down and pan out.

I know there are a few bugs so please alpha test if you will.

    Thanks in advance.

First of all its a bit empty, you need either some content or more decorations

I'd suggest you have some space between the categories of the links of the directory

put a button GO or something near the search, some people may be stupid enough not to click enter when they input the search term

add some colors in the CSS for the links

then you will have made a big input in its design :) let us know when you change something

Well, I find that having the main menu links on the far right side of the page a bit unusual. Most people look for it at the top or on the left side, so I'd move it.

Obviously you need more content, but you already know that.

    Good luck ... it's a good start.

Well thats the trick. I don't want to make up content to put on there. I am trying to find a way to get people to contribute. I am not sure how too. Hopefully someone will take the time to try it out and make some suggestions.

Thanks for the review. I hope to work on it some this weekend.

You google adds on the left side look too much like your links on the page. For a second it looks like your whole page is just add links

    good luck

over time this will get better with the learning experience of developing and managing a web business..

keep working on look and feel, with sites like these needs to be as clean and simple as possible, work on your GPR, and use mod rewrites so your urls can be indexed easily by google.

Thanks it is a learning experience. I am trying to focus on one thing at a time. I will be adding mod rewrite soon. I am not happy with the look currently but there are so many different things i want to do.

Finding incentives for people to join is hard. Maybe its just not a good idea. I think its fun. I have some friends who are gonna write some cool stuff so we will see.
