hey all, I'm selling my site http://www.sharemyfile.net Traffic: Rev: It makes around $3-8 per month. depending on traffic for that month. Domain: reg'ed at namecheap, free push is available. The sites never been advertised but still gets traffic (see above) and is used by people that have found the site on their own. You don't need to do any work on it but i tend to delete old files every month or so. The script has an admin panel. as admin you can do the usual, ban, delete files, increase and decrease the file limit etc. The file limit is set at 5mb atm, but can be increased to any size. I bought the site for $200 a year ago so i'm taking a loss on this sale. I also sold the site the other month on sedo for $250 (check here), but the buyer ended up pulling out due to personal financial difficulties. i'll keep it low for a quick sale.... i'll start a 48 hour clock for this site. if no bid is received within that time it will be sold for just $30!
we're talking any time zone mate, as long as its 48 hours from whenever the last bid was made. which was Today, 4:39 am board time. the easiest way is to work it out using the board time imo. the traffic mostly comes from community websites. where some1 has used the site to host a file and members of that site have followed the link to download it. i haven't paid for any traffic or advertising, so its all natural. the rev as i said is around $3-8 per month. depending on traffic for that month. nothing to shout about but it shows it can make a profit if the site is marketed. thanks eshaman, your bid of $40 is currently the highest. if no bids are received within 48 hours of his post the site will be sold.
i was very interested in this thread until i noticed that site is ranked 8 mil in alexa rank in other terms no traffic at all wich means no revenue.
alexa only counts people with their toolbar on their browser, or some other kind of alexa software on their computer. which is why alexa should only ever be used as a general guide, not a fact. the facts of the traffic the site gets are posted on the first post. if may not be crazy traffic, but i have never said it was, and the price of the site reflects it.
