Shared vs. Dedicated IP Address and AdSense

    Is it true that using a shared IP address could affect your Google rep if another site is practicing blackhat SEO etc? Can they penalize others on the IP? What are the benefits of a dedicated IP address?

    I'm sure Google's algorithm has that in mind... think of all the shared hosting websites out there...

    As long as I know there is no difference, quality of content and seo is what matters .
