i curently have a shared hosting from godady, surfing the internet i saw this hosting is very expensive. i found some hosting companys which offers a vps (1 vCPU; 1GB RAM; 20GB Hard Disk Space; UnMetered 10mbps Bandwidth; One dedicated IPv4 IP address at the same price with godaddy. i didn`t work with vps ... but i learn fast. what should i do ... stay with godaddy or move to a vps?
Well, tell us more about your project, there is no need to go for a VPS when a shared hosting is needed, else, you can find someonee who also need a vps and share the price bitween you too, it s question of trust.
VPS might do that, now, all vps don't offer good services. what is your traffic at the moment, what king of ressources are you using?
wordpress blog, with 10-12 plugins and around 1000 page views/day and using cloudflare.com i want to buy form vservercenter.com the KVM Cloud Hosting package.
Yeah, I suggest you go and find something cheaper. It's just crazy how much the price can vary for the same service basically. If you want to find a good deal then I suggest you go to a hosting price comparison site like hostinghunter dot net for example and start from the cheapest. Usually you can't go wrong with shared hosting from a reputable company and it's way easier to set up and manage then an unmanaged vps.
Second that, and as well, remember that you normally will not get a control panel included with that price. cPanel, etc., all cost more.
one more thing ... on a vps i can manage wordpress like on a shared hosting? connect via ftp and have a list with all files and folders there , add and delete them ?
Since VPS has had much better uptime, is much faster, and gives you much more freedom, since you can install any panel you want, it will be really perfect solution for you. Nice VPS hosting plans offered by Crookservers.com company. I've had a good run dealing with them. The prices are great, they have free templates, tutorials, everything.
A VPS could be a good solution for you. You will want to find a provider that offers affordable solutions and gives you control panel options. cPanel is one of the most popular and easiest to use. Also consider how good a company's support and knowledge base is before you sign up for your plan. As a novice VPS user it is likely that you will need some assistance with your setup.
If you are using cloud flare then you need not take vps plan. But if you still want to go with VPS then there are many available in the market.
I would suggest going with a managed VPS provider that offers wordpress support. AN unmanaged VPS plan is going to be more then you sound ready for. Let the host handle the server and you focus on your sites and traffic.
Since VPS has had much better uptime, is much faster, and gives you much more freedom, since you can install any panel you want, it will be reasonable choice.
I think you should be with trusted hosting provider. Some new providers are making those attractive offers to get more users. Some of them only offers that VPS at a same rate of shared hosting package for one years or 2 years only. So I suggest you to check very carefully and then take decision.
