I came to know after reading lots of thread in DP that shared hosting effects in our search engine rankings due to same ip used by 500+ or even more sites. Then I saw shared plans - Hostgator Bussiness Plan and godaddy Unlimited 4GH plan which both offer Fixed Private IP and SSL.

So I want to know that if I took any of these both plans will my search ranking will improve bcoz i have now own seperate private ip address??

And want to know one more thing that What is SSL certificate is used for?

    Hello

Having a shared IP will not damage SEO at all, although you can have your own dedicated IP on a shared account if you wish. And also SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is when a page is secured and any data passing through it is encrypted to ensure security. It is mainly used on payment pages such as when your on your checkout entering sensative data, that data is encrypted for security

Thanks for all ur replies, One more thing I want to ask is that my sites average monthly Bandwidth usage is 200 gb max, Disk usage is 40 - 50 gb max, users online at a time average is 250 and maximum users online at one time is 2500. Should I go for dedicated server? If yes then will u please suggest me best config for me and the cheapest hosting company for that config??

If your usage is increasing then you may want to go ahead and start searching for a high quality affordable VPS solution. At some point you are going to start bogging down your shared account as you ease closer to your usage limits. I wouldn't go for a really really low priced VPS. Some companies offer really affordable value added VPS packages with professional 24/7 technical support.
