Until now I used share ip, between the sites on the server, now my hosting provider gives me promotion free ip only for my sites. Should I accept this and what kind of positives will I have from this? Negatives too...
There is some value in having a dedicated I.P. - If you are getting it for nothing, or not much, I would take it.
I think it would be necessary to have a dedicated IP if you want to introduce SSL on your sites someday in the future. Also, having a dedicated IP would keep your own site from potential impacts of IP punishment. Have a nice day,
I can tell you that dedicated I.P. is the best way to go. Sometimes shared i.p. address get lumped in with bad "neighborhoods" they are called if someone using an i.p. address with your host is hosting a bad site. Unfortunately this really has and does happen, I've seen it too many times.
I think it does not matter to much unless you have SSL but most important is to have your domain pre-paid in advance atleast 3-5 years. This has better impact than dedicated IP, in my opinion.
