    does anyone know how much ram shared hosts provide?
    companies like dream host, how much ram do they provide?

    You will need to contact them to ask. But I believe with vendor likes Dreamhost, they will limit much

    If they won't release that information then move along to the next host. If they are hiding that fact then that is their problem =]
