Shared hosting with SMS gateway?

I am looking for a Coldfusion host that supports the gateway functionality (SMS, IM, etc) that was introduced in CF7.

Are gateways available included in ColdFusion hoting plans? Is it better to find a separate gaterway account elsewhere?

    Thanks.

    Short Answer:
    - Yes, look some where else for gateway account.

    Long Answer:
    - I doubt you will get this with a SHARED hosting account, however the service may be provided with a different account type.

PS: You're looking into SMS with CF - good....

Thanks, it seems to be a hard thing to find.

SMS with CF is good but I don't know what for. I heard a Google sales director mention in a presentation last year that Google expects mobile to be big. I tracked her down after the talk and asked how mobile was going to be big and she said they didn't know but knew that it would be. I suppose it would have been like saying social networks or video hosting would be big 3 or 4 years ago. You wouldn't know that myspace.com or youtube.com but you knew those types of sites would have had some impact.

Can ColdFusion call .NET webservices? if so, I could get you access to a free SMS API for the UK.
