Shared Hosting Payment question

    I have a quick question. I am on shared hosting so I don't think i have SSL certificates or anything can i accept paypal as a checkout method if I don't have SSL security?

    Yep you sure can. It gets passed to the paypal server which has its own SSL certificate.

    yes u can configure your site to accept paypal payments and u donot need ssl on site.
    It will take user to paypal site and they allready have ssl.

    Only if you want to accept payments on site, then you need SSL... all paypal, moneybookers, egold etc takes them to the remote site, accepts the payment and forwards the customer back to your site.... So you need nada!

    SSL is only needed if you are receiving confidential information over your website such as financial information but since paypal is processing the order, the SSL should primarily be at Paypal's end.

    yes , you can , it is not necessery to have SSL encryption to use PayPal as a payment , ;o)) cheers
