Shared/dedicated/IPs affect SERPs?

    Hi,

I have more than 10 domains, all ranked quite good. Today I rented dedicated server because some of my sites stops responding on shared servers (too much traffic). I registered my own ns1 and ns2.
Now, question is: If I switch few more sites (previously on shared) to my own dedicated server, and register them with my ns server, will it affect my SERPs? My sites are now, of course, interlinked, but many of them are on different IPs and hosts. If I put them all on one server, they will all have same nameservers and IPs, will it decrease value of links (in interlinking)?

If someone did this before, I will appreciate suggestion.

It might, also are you using privacy option to protect whois data or do they all contain your contact details?

It could decrease value of links in interlinking but first of all it'll be much more obvious that you're interlinking inside your own set of sites. And that's quite close to deindexation. You can be also sure that if one site in beforementioned set will get deindexed other will be treated in the same way almost instantly. So putting interlinked set on one IP is risky from SEO point of view.

    Regards,

Let's cut out the nonsense, ok? If your sites aren't interlinking to each other (much, the occasional cross-link here and there is fine though) you'll be fine. If they are (especially if they're unrelated to each other), chances are very good that you will be dealing with some problems (this is where C class IPs come in really handy, though they are expensive as hell).

As I said, my sites ARE interlinked. However, I do not heavy interlink (not from every single site to every site) and those links aren't the only one. If I link to my site from 3 other my sites, there are at least 30 other sites linking also.
    I will take a risk :)

Let us know how it goes. :)

I'll be dealing with much the same possibility as I move domains to a dedicated and hopefully better webhost.

Whether or not the sites are on the same IP, as long as you're not overdoing your crosslinks, and the links make sense from the users' POV, the level of risk is relatively low, according to the success of some of my clients using the same tactic to rank on Google.

If you want to hide the fact that you're crosslinking, the least you can do is to put sites on different IPs and protect whois information. Still, if Google decides to run a manual review, expect6 them to be able to sniff out your link network.

googlebot is a "ROBOT" and other bots.

    he dosent think like this:
hm....this dude changed his host...let-s bann him and PR his page down a little bit.......

so the answer is definatly NO!!! it will not affect your PR or other things...
you can change your host 10 times per month...
