First of all, congratulations to "Slumdog Millionaire team" for winning eight oscars.
I missed the youngest "Jamal". He should have been nominated for some category like Child star, New Actor or "BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR". Anyway, good to see him on stage.

I made the analogy to Hillary Rodham Clinton....the Benjamin Button of the U.S. elections.

HRC was the heavily favored front runner for becoming President

Benjamin Button was the heavily favored Front Runner for Best Picture with 13 nominations (most of any film).

Like Barack Obama--- the Slum Dog Millionaire came out of NOWHERE to win it all!!!

And, like Hillary Clinton got the consolation award of Secretary Of State (in Obama's cabinet)--- BB got 2 minor awards ("best Makeup" and "Best Art Direction")

HRC has the Best Makeup in Obama's cabinet ---- get it? she's a woman -- uses Makeup --- LOL :)

"BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR" is given correctly to the best actor world has seen with this great character as the joker, Heath Ledger in Dark Knight.
That award can't be given to little Jamal

I think that there weren't too many surprises. I was basically predicting who would win before they won. it seems to be a popularity contest more than anything else. that's just my opinion.

Heath Ledger in Dark Knight is the most deserving supporting actor. He got it and there is no doubt about it. I said the child who played youngest Jamal performed the best in "Slumdog Millionaire" and should be nominated again NOMINATED to ackniwledge his contribution not a photo-op.

Ledger was bound to win the award. I'm sure he would've still done well if he didn't die, but I know even just the fact that he was literally unedited during his parts of The Dark Knight.

Indian awards? It's a British film by an English director (Danny Boyle).

P.S. well done to Heath Ledger, I was very pleased that he won the Best Supporting Actor award.

HE is one of the best actors. Who said only those who are in leading roles can be best Actors? :)
We are not talking about oscar's best actor nomination. he was good actor in terms of acting and dedication to his films.
