Every new blogger is exited at notion of getting their thoughts and passions online in the form of a blog, but most of us realize it is more work that just simply posting a few random thoughts. For those of you that have pressed on to create something nice, what were some of the things that you did not expect, or know when you first started your blog that you had to overcome to keep your blog rolling along successfully? For me, it was my complete lack of design skills. Share yours with some of the newbies who are thinking of starting up, and don't know what to expect.
Well, I am still new...blog only up for a month now....but I think that coming up with content is my issue.....I feel that I know alot about my niche but putting on the web in the form of a blog seems to be difficult. Using PLR articles seems silly because in my opinion, its stealing other peoples work. I guess my blog will develop slowly while I actually "think" about my own content and then publish it.
My biggest roadblock is now, the fact that I cant get me a decent affordable webhost who can offer me a good hosting for my high traffic blog/portfolio
For me, installing and taking backups are the two most challenging tasks. I can do a little bit of tweaking with the help from members of DP forum. Content creation is never a problem.
I started out knowing nothing about HTMLs, XMLs and PHPs but now, at least I can amend them all myself.
Same here. I had no idea there were so many different types of programming languages to deal with. That was a big shocker.
biggest challenge for me was/is just getting the word out so people can find the blog and come back regularly, etc.
