I just using Facebook Pages to promote my site. You know, last year I built a website about football news which got a lot of competition if you want to rank it by search engine. So I decided to make a Pages about my football site in Facebook. I just promote the pages to my friends at first...and after 2-3 months it go Viral!! I got about 50'000 fan on facebook pages!!! Now my website got about 2000-3000 unique visitor every month...and most of them are from facebook!!
Hi Thebayou Firstly congratulations… if you mean what you say and take the proper advice you will do well. The worst thing about the internet business is that there is so much crap out there for the unwary and unsuspecting. If I were starting in the internet business again here is a simple but effective plan I would put into action, take from it what you like: 1-Work out what income you want from an internet business and a plan to achieve it (not enough space to tell you how to do this here). If you don't want income and are just doing it for fun forget all what I am about to tell you. I'm not in the charity business. 2-Create a website to let people know what it is you have to sell (presently your site doesn't do you any favours). 3-Design the website to be SEO friendly. This is simple. Basically, get a domain that says what you sell… that people are searching using those keywords. Place your KW domain in the title bar. 4- Get a free value packed offer (newsletter, eCourse or eBook) and promote it on your home page 5-Buy traffic. List builder pro has good targeted traffic as cheap as chips. It won't convert as well as organic traffic because the visitors subscribe to your newsletter (or free offer) and are most likely looking for information only but some will buy from your ongoing sales emails. 6- Write 2 articles (or have them written for 99cents per 100 words) and post to 150 article directories a day. Search and you can automate this easily for $24 a month. 7-Buy links for PR 2-8 and promote like hell. These steps will deliver a profitable and busy site within 6 months. It is only the basics but it is essential that you do it and don't deviate. Don't listen to all the crap out there and don't change the strategy till it is working. If you don't see results you have forgotten some of the steps or haven't applied them properly. I hope these points are helpful they are based on my experience and I'm sure not everyone will agree with them, if they aren't helpful discard them but thanks for allowing me to comment on your post.
Just had someone contact me earlier this week wanting to put an article on my site. In exchange, he put a link on his site to my site giving both of us a backlink. It encouraged me to contact other web masters to get more backlinks
My only strategy ... i only do SEO and get want SE traffic from Ranking ... If you are not skilled enouf don't complain Try to get better or hire somebody that knows what he is doing ...
me also facing this problem of traffic , i made a blog 6 months ago still not able to get much traffic
Yeah just what w3bmaster said, know your SEO well, then traffic will come organically from Search engines which primarily from keywords - Its a NEWBIE Gold nugget
Try guest posting on related blogs. You write a decent article to put on their site, and they give you a nice backlink to your site, plus you get some of their traffic. There are communities such as guestpostexchange.com and myblogguest.com that connect site owners with guest posts, so give those a try.
