I've always bought NVidia. A friend of mine who would upgrade his card every year said that only ATI cards have ever died on him.

    NVidia Geforce 9800GT 512mb
    core clock: 550mhz
    memory: 700mhz
    shader: 1375mhz

I'm a little disappointed that mine only has faster memory then your Geforce 8400.

    ATI HD 4830 512mb.
I'm all fine with it, FSX works with it, it doesn't even limit me when I'm rendering videos(Uses the CPU usually).

nvidia has owed itself a place in market which nobody can challenge. although ATI's technology is no less than them

I've got two ATI Radeon HD 5770's crossfired, for those of you who aren't aware of the scaling this presents, they're on par with a single 5870.

    So that's pretty powerful.
