    sharekhan.com, indiabulls.com and 5paisa.com are the most popular ones.

    5paisa.com has cheapest rates amongst these three.

    If you are looking for a terminal type of trader interface, go for indiabulls.com. 5paisa's trading terminal has a mimumum Rs 1000 brokerage charge. Even if you don't trade, they will deduct Rs 1000 from your account. (For normal online trading account, there are no minimum charges).

    icicdirect.com and reliancemoney.com should be avoided.

    anybody do this on a serious level? I've always wanted to see what all this was about...but I enjoy my money and material possessions too much to try..
