    I would say the worst thing I have done is wait too long to put lots of content on my website.

    Biggest mistake I made when I first started was paying some BOZZO who told me he was an expert in SEO. $300 for just about banning my site from google, he was about 2 years behind, all black hat stuff.....Luckily someone sorted it out far cheaper and it is now on the first page and does very well.
