    Hello Members,

Shall i use both traffic tracker,

statcounter and google analytics for website traffic analysis?

I like both the tool, and those both are having some special good qualities, so i want to use both.

Please suggest me what to do?

    Regards.

No, Google Analytics will provide the same data and then some, waste of web page loading time.

I will do so, as I always think only one counter in a site is so reliable.

so, analytics is more reliable than statcounter?

Still now a days, there is some problem coming in analytics, i did not found change in Traffic for 2 days.

Well it's not giving real time tracking, while statcounter gives, that feature.

Still i am not clear, what to do,

    Please help.

It's a question entirely of personal preference.
I prefer statcounter because of the real time reporting, and the ability to track how individual users use my site.
Google analytics has a lot of 'fans' because it does provide a lot of stats, but in real terms, I found a lot of them were'nt really telling me the things I wanted to know.
And you can use both, though as others have said, if load times are an issue for you, you may not want to.

I use Google Analytics, statcounter and sitemeter.

It's amazing how the numbers between all three seem to differ.

Google, however, gives more information than the other two, but on days when Analytics doesn't update, I have the other two to fall back on.

There have been occasions when statcounter is down and Google didn't update, but as magda says, it's all about personal preference.

Isn't it like wearing one condom over another? Duplication of effort that will slow down page load

My pages have few if any images, so load times are not a problem. I use both StatCounter and Google Analytics. They are not exact duplicates, and each provides some nice features.

I suggest putting the analytics code in the very bottom of the page, this can minimize the time Your visitors a waiting for a page to load. I've seen this on many pages: they are setup on fast server, not much images, but some statistics codes are whats slowing it down...

    Want to use both ?

Go ahead. I already do so on a couple of my sites.

As Jim said, both possess certain unique features.

I don't think just little bit a script will increase the time for loading the pages too much,
Use both you will get the better results.
As Analytics of Google, you will find exact trafiic coming towards to your site,
And In statcounter you will be able to monitor from which specific ip you are getting visitors as well as the recent keyword activity that to be perform on major search engines, which drives traffic towards to your website.
    Use both,
    You will feel happy.

You can use both since it does no harm. I always use that two webstats and I can compare their capabilities and performance.

You can also use the invisible stats for it...:D

    Hi Friend

If You are still Confuse about to use for Both Stats tools

so you can continue with Statcounter , it will Provide you real stats about your sites.

there is no need to double check stats reports for your sites.,

    statcounter is the best.

    Thanks

    John

I have been using statscounter for more than two years, I have nenver tried Google Analytics but as per my experience I prefer statscounter, Now using both on a site is possible I guess since you can also try and see sites of people ranking over keywords like search engine optimization, most of them use Google Analytics and any one of their custom stats script both on website

I use analytics on all my whitehat sites. Gives me all the info I need.

For GH and BH, I use statcounter.
