Recently I sold a script to a Buyer and I clearly mentioned below Terms and Conditions in the invoice itself apart from communicating this message to buyer thro' email. But, today I was surprised to see that the Buyer was able to remove/hold this $150 from my PayPal account using "PayPal Dispute". I didn't like this paypal's behavour. Why paypal is reducing my balance while I clearly mentioned as "Refund is NOT applicable at any situation" in the Terms and Conditions of the invoice? I couldn't understand why PayPal is supporting the buyer who is NOT respecting its "Terms and Conditions" feature. The worst thing is, because of this dispute PayPal had cancelled my last Bank withdrawal. I will be losing significant amount because of the exchange rate difference during this cancellation. I have asked PayPal Support to take necessary action against this Buyer who wastes my time without respecting the "Terms and Conditions". Right now, I just replied for the Buyer as "Refer the Terms and Conditions". And, I would like to know whether I can escalate the Dispute to PayPal or whether I can wait for Buyer's reply.
Always try to resolve the problems with the buyer before escalating the claim, why? Because he might have legit reasons for this, his account maybe have been hijacked or credit card stolen or made the purchase by mistake. Anyway, before taking any action, call PayPal and see what they advice you to do. If you have the Terms of Conditions link easy to find then I think PayPal will be on your side.
I agree with you, paypal always protected their buyer but have terms of condition that important to be understood for us too.
Ya try and resolve, Always keep the customer happy. It just helps out in the long run. Always easier to play nice.
Hi! Paypal will say it is not tangible. If you emailed it, it will not be good for you.If you mailed a copy in the mail with a delivery confirmation it will protect you.Sending items over email will not protect you with Ebay.If you sent him a link to download something it will not protect you either. Thanks for all your replies. PayPal Support helped me to close the Dispute and I got the money back. So, this thread can be closed.
