Shall i change my Signature?

    Hi,
    All i want to remove one of the links from my signature links and in place of i need to place another link.

    If i change my signature does it affect in previous post which i made?

    Will it be automatically change in my previous post, or it will not affect my previous post links?

    in all your posts the new signature will apear and the last signature link will be removed. it may even effect your serps.

    The change gets automatically reflected in the previous posts. You can check it manually.

    I don't think it do make any more changes in SERP's.

    If the link is not much important to promote than you can remove it, other wise i don't think so you should do the same.

    Once you change your signature and you replace it with another one, your previous post also will have changes from old sig to new one. It's a dynamic signature.

    Hi Friend,

    If the Your current link is not much important to promote than you can easily remove it and update new one.

    Otherwise, you need to think,.

    Why need to move on Risks.

    Yaa you change/update your signature link, i thinks it's effect on your SERP's.
    for previous Anchor Text. and your link automatically update your last post with new signature.

    It will be changes for sure but the it will takes time to cache and crawl again the signatures of your posts..And it depends on the forum if the forum supports sigs on all your posts...

    By the way changing of sigs now and then affect your links...

    So picking a good signature and staying with it for a long time is the best thing to do.

    Most forum software packages (such as SMF and vBulletin) will instantly update the signature field. However, forum links are so weak SEO wise that you can change them to your heart's content and they won't change your rankings much, if at all. Even if you have over 20,000 posts (as I do, split between here, SitePoint, and the SEO.com forums, not to mention The Blog Experiment and other Web related forums I participate on) racked up.
