in theory , you would vet a site before you add a link to them you know who is out there - before the coop I really had hardly any outbound links I was in the coop but disabled my outbounds today (90% are probably not related) although I have not seen my rankings disappear up to now (3 y/o site though..) Let's see if I zooooooom up the charts
leeds1 yeah, I check the robots.txt file, PR (just to make sure it's not grey) and thats about it. It takes all my time up as it is without having to do anything else. What else do you do though?
Not sure Hans, Ive spoken to one web owner today who works in the travel industry and his site kw's have jumped from 1st page to 200+ some people have had a jump of 50+ Who knows when this will settledown, worrying thing every data center I have looked at are showing the same results!
There are some strange things going on. The google cache shows this: This is G o o g l e's cache of http://www.lovechess.nl/artoflove/archives/toye_preview/index.php as retrieved on 31 Dec 1969 23:59:59 GMT. HUH I was one year old back then
Strange, my cache doesn't give that date, usually G gives that date when the page on it's way out of the index. (I think?!)
I saw some website last week say that 1969 was the cache year from Google and I just thought I was losing it..
Well I am noticing seem keywords rising back from the dead. It is almost like Google has reset my back links and now is slowly counting them again day-by-day.
I hope mine will turn live again as well, strangly the yahoo engine does provide more surfers then ever... did some site updates, I hope google likes them. And if not, things looks kind of hopeless for me on google.
I think yahoo made an alog change, because the qaulity of there serps seem to much better, hence more traffic.
A3,I'm the same, rankings slowly (Very!) coming back .. even more interesting when I do allinanchor: kw allintext: kw my site is ranked high, the exact same top 5 positions prior to this algo change, update or whatever you want to call it. Luckily, this is a quiet time for the leisure / travel industry anyway, so I always expect a reduction in traffic around this time, but come January I want to be kicking arse again in the top5 positions! (fingers crossed!)
Lucky for you. Christmas is the busiest time for me for one site so this google update was not that great for me timing wise.
I've gotten an increase in visitors/new members to my forum since I started using the coop network. 6 new members yesterday from the network alone!!
nearly, only about 100 a day, but they all seem to come from minor/new keywords. Not the targeted ones. I also noted that with the site:domain.com command there are some sites with my page on their URL. Is that legal or normal? Is google panalizing me for dub content? The normal site URL= http://www.lovechess.nl/artoflove/ The strange urls are: erotic-artworks.com/cgi-bin/top100/out. cgi?id=frontosa&url=http://www.lovechess.nl%2Fartoflove www.adultartlinks.com/AdultArt100/out. php?id=frontosa&url=http://www.lovechess.nl%2Fartoflove www.pretty-sexy.com/go.php?104 www.ameanet.com/wsnlinks/link.php?id=431 Or am I just being paranoia? al those questions, and it's nearly Christmas, happy holidays...
I've recovered my old places in some of my keywords, and others are improving... Some competitors of mine are totally way off the SERPs and some got a PR penalization (no more PR for you). My traffic is now steady, with a nice amount of visitors from Google.
