heh, I see he is on a fraud binge. This creep also scammed me out of a lot of money. Paypal supports thieves like this, they just chalk it up to not wanting to deal with digital items or services.

Its unfortunate as there is nothing we can do, especially because he lives in india where they can hide from legal issues from people in the US.

    Its a shame really.

I am sorry for your loss BrandonD & Brinked.
I am an Indian programmer & long time reader of DP.
Today I registered here just to say sorry to you.

I feel glad that I never cheated any of my clients & they trust me. Even after I billed them after 8 months, they are paying me.
Please try to be careful in future.

it will be tough to open up a dispute as what Brinked mention. International laws and all that stuff :s
All i can say is, treat it as a lesson learnt. Money can always be earned back. And let's hope for the day when we can be better protected from such scams online.

All I can recommend here is to always use a credit card to pay "suspicious" type people, though that's a really broad term I guess, and do a chargeback through your bank if needed. I'm certainly not advocating anyone use this method to defraud others, considering I'm usually the one that gets hit with this sort of thing, but I have had to use it once myself for a purchase I made and the guy just disappeared.

*edit* doing a Paypal dispute has nothing to do with international laws by the way. I would suggest doing a google search as there are ways to maximize your chances of winning.

I tried doing a chargeback. Chase said that it is a matter that will be left up to paypal since they see other similar payments to people in similar amounts.

    I will be leaving chase.

I tried disputing but they did not give me my money back. The money isn't that big a deal to me.. $900 isn't much. It's just the fact that people like this can get away with stealing so easily.. really fucked up.
