I did a search in GOOGLE for [ disadvantages of latest 3g iphone ] then notice that the first listing was filled with KW in the description tag. Then upon visiting the site I noticed in the bottom the black hat techniques used. And this site has been operating for quite a while now. I used to do black hat techniques too and always get slapped by adsense with warning mails and Google devaluating most of those sites. But this goes to show that Google is still a step back behind combating good smart techniques that are still prevailant in it's SERPS. P.S. To the author of the site, I am not here to put you down. you might even get free traffic lol, I just used this as an example. no harm done and no hard feelings, I bet you are making a killing with your earnings. Peace and more power. This just shows black hats are still the king. lol
lol That is not blackhat, that is moron hat. Spaming G is a no-no and i bet they will be taken down (all site) if someone files a spam report.
This is due to the nature of and foundation of which Google's algorithm is built upon. They can't make it perfect unless they start from scratch again.
Do you really think its moron hat? Search for the terms he has on that list and you will see he is on the first page of google for each and every single one of these long tail terms...The website is online since 3 years and it seems google doesn't have a problem with it.
How do I know all WHAT? That the website is 3 years old? Yes, thats an advanced SEO tactic only few of us select gurus know of, but since I'm a generous soul I will tell you, slowly, so you can understand. Scccrroooolll dooown toooo thee bottttooom of the paaaage aaaand loook HERE IT IS : "© 2005 - 2008 My Digital Life". Now you know Or that google doesn't have a problem with it? Well the simple fact the website is ranking for all those long tails means they must be doing something right, no? And the alexa is around 2000, so they certainly get some good amounts of traffic. Actually what they're doing is nothing black hat. Similar results can be achieved with tagging the post manually, but of course automation saves you time so you can focus on more important things on your website. Or is tagging black hat?
That doesn't mean the site has 55 links to same page in footer for 3 years, does it funny boy? In fact, no. Wherever you display shady tactics, you'll go way up, and then way out. Jesus, i have a top ranking website for 3 years, dominates 75% of keywords in that niche and my Alexa is 44444444444. My competitors is 4444. Are you saying they have lot's of traffic? Yeah right. Alexa rankings is great for US.UK.Can. Not for my litle country. But whathever... No it's moron hat. I told you before. Nop, but that site its not tagging: its stuffing keyphrases linking always to same page. Get the diference? Good. Now move on and don't try to be funny. That's not cool.
However you may frown upon his site, he may still be well profiting from the method and have achieved great ROI as .info is pretty cheap and the content is apparently program-generated. I even saw one site of this sort put a red strong blinking line saying something like 'Feel free to ban me, google'....
This site is quite established and gets loads of traffic. I've visted it for years. Is what he is doing really black hat? Looks like his script just pulls the search terms then links back to the page, as each search term is differrent, would google just see it as internal linking?
Guys.. this is a targeted result based on closest title match to the query that was entered out of a mere 80k or so results. Anything under 100K results in google can be hit and killed by a blind man with a bb gun. There is no credit due here.
if you can't rank well against only 230,000+ searches, you'd better pack it in. try doing a real search, and then we'll see how all of that link stuffing works.
