A group of people in California are collecting petitions to have their sewage treatment plant renamed to the "George W. Bush Sewage Plant." They say it is a "tribute to the outgoing chief executive and the "mess" he'll leave behind." Republicans have vowed to fight the renaming plan if it makes it to the ballots. The democratic controlled Congress led by Nancy Pelosi/Harry Ried has a 7% approval rating. That's lower than George Bush.
The normal sewage can be processed and cleaned, I hardly doubt USA can do the same with a sewage that Bush has made.
Democratic controlled congress that can't get much done as they do not control it to the level they would need in order to over ride Bush. Really can't blame the dems for the approval rating of the current congress.
Republicans had control of this country for 6 years and not much got accomplished, with the exception the average American is much worse off today. I'm not thrilled with the Democrat party either. It's like picking the lesser of two evils... Anyway, if the sewage plant gets named after Bush, I hope the erect a statue of Bush. Maybe it could have him in high boots wading through crap. It would be interesting!
I am afraid not, maintenance costs will be extremely high, I can't imagine the number of people vandalizing it every day

The only thing more pathetic than Bush's 8 years of leadership are the people frothing at the mouth to hate him. Imagine, spending all your days and nights hating a man you have never met, will never meet, and who doesn't even know you exist. Wow. Your life must really suck. (Double the suckiness if you're a foreigner. You're basically hating a man who doesn't even live in the same country as you. Wow.)
It doesn't matter if he knows you exist, of if you've ever met him, when the president effects your daily life on the levels he/she does.
Yea, you got a point there. If you never met him, or had a personal conversation with him, you never can know what a person’s true intentions are. I have never met Bush so I hold back some of the economic criticism that I have. The President does not affect your daily life like the local government does. It’s just as pathetic that people talk about foreign policy (Iraq) with out ever touching foot in the Middle East. Folks often criticize out of habit with not knowing who is responsible or what is going on. We have “freedom of speech†which often should be called “freedom to show ignorance.â€
Homebiz stepping foot in the Middle East does not make one an expert on it, nor does it give you anything more than being a tourist. The president with the rest of the federal government creates laws that trickle down and effect every local community, local communities pass laws based on the federal governments mandates, taxes are taken in huge masses by the feds........... --- Still waiting on that proof that Saddam/Iraq financed 9/11 btw.

Huh? The President is the last stop before legislation becomes law. And that law can trump State, County, and even City laws. Even though we don't know him personally, his successes and failures are felt throughout the USA (World in some cases).
