Setup Goal in Analytics

    Can someone here telling me what is the purposes of a Goal in Google Analytics? Can I setup Goal to measure my Adsense? Please comments. Thanks

    Goals are set to track specific business goals, like a sale or registration. Goals cannot track Adsense... not so sure.. can anyone here give me a shout here if they find a way to track adsense data using goals..

    Not sure why you would need that though.

    Thanks For the sharing. Just wonder, if cannot measure for Adsense using Analytics, then it will be only applicable to track the conversion rate for Sales only? Please correct me if I have this wrong. Thanks

    twin_s' IS RIGHT THAT, Goals are set to track specific business goals, like a sale or registration or forum submission, that means 90$ unique visitors.

    Goals can be anything from a pageview to a click. Any measurable business objective can and should be treated as a goal. Some of the major ones are - sales, lead generation, subscription, comments (for blogs).

    Goals are very important in google analytics to track the business conversion and website optimization. You can track how much visitor are coming at contact us page and how much fill that.

    Goal reverse path will help you to find out the effective index of keywords.

    Goals and funnels are created to track visitor interaction with your website. Here are few goals we recommend setting up for an ecommerce website:
    Home page to cart page funnel
    General checkout process funnel including the cart page
    General checkout process funnel excluding the cart page
    Checkout process funnel for different payment types including the cart page
    Checkout process funnel for different payment types excluding the cart page
