Don't worry about BW,if you get a lot visitor, you will get lot advertiser to put their ads at your website you can use http://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=...CkCMg&q=http://www.monoeci.net/videolive.html to setup your youtube clone
You can buy a unique script or hire a company to make you one, that way you will stand out from the crowd.
like what nastax said is right. If you ever need someone to do everything for you for a price. pm me yeah
Be prepared to spend around $2200/year at a minimum for a dedicated server... IMO it's just not worth it when you look at the minimal income those sites make
yup you need alot of bandwith..i`ve set up alot of youtube clones sites so far..there are so many scripts out there..if you need help pm
We host, design, and setup Video Share and Youtube Clone sites. We offer a complete turnkey solution for clients that want to have a youtube like website The Most Popular youtube script at the moment is PHPmotion And there are many add ons available so that it's easily customizable I haven't been here on the forum long enough to use a live link But this is our website www.HDvideohosting(dotcom) We offer a proportional use plan that puts you on our Dual Quad Core Xenon Server, 8 CPUs, which should be more then adequate to suit your need This allows you room to grow and you'll never be shut down because you have used to much Band Width. which is a common issue with most shared hosting companies that have video share sites All the software is pre-installed including a proprietary video encoder that gives you stunning quality if you have a fast enough connection When the time is right as a result of your site being popular will move you to your own dedicated server Here is a typical client site (wwwblu-rayhdm(dotcom) the video conversion process allows the client to adjust the settings to get the right results. Higher Quality video streams results in only viewers with fast internet connections being able to view them as they play; slower connections have to buffer or download the clip first. Check out the Rugby clip or Mystery of the Nile Shot in HD video on his site. It’s really easy to get quality when you just have a talking head but running water on the Nile video gives you an idea how good the quality can be check it out at full screen So if you want a free 30 day test drive in return for you review just let me know Mark
I wanna do this but is it really that much bandwidth? can;'t i just get a dedicated with lets say Unlimited bandwith 100mbit shared? or would the port have to be dedicated?
What we have found that in most cases clients that have dedicated servers dont use the monthly allocated bandwith As far as "Unlimited BW" it can't be done because the size of the port will always limt the amount of BW going thru the pipe. Typically in a shared situation you can never be sure how many other users you will be sharring with. Overselling BW is a huge issue in the hosting business Depending on how much traffic you plan on getting you may want to consider dedicated unmetered 10mbp/s port which gives you a little over 3TB per mo . There are options at 20 & 50 If that seems like it may not be enough you can get a plan with a Dedicated 100 mbp/s port ( only 10-$20.00 a month more then a 10mbp/s port)at say 2TB a month but when you start to go over that amount you just pay for the overage. Because it's dedicated you can push as much as 33 TB a month. If you have any other questions just let me know. Mark
I know this is pointless.. but does anybody believe me that I almost started a site exactly like youtube..like 5 years before youtube existed
The cost of Bandwidth is directly tied into how much traffic you are receiving. As you Video Share website gets more popular you see a corresponding increase in Bandwidth as well as an increase in revenue to more then pay for the increase costs So you can start off at around $9.95 a month and as your video sharing site gets more popular you gradually use more bandwidth and pay accordingly. It’s a win win situation Let me know if you have anymore questions.
