I finally setup 2checkout on my shop today after months of saying i was going to do so!. Anyway I what do you think of it? are they quick with releasing money? I ordered the credit card also and will use credit card once i receive it.

I have paypal on my site as well. Its strange I thought that I was loosing money and then I seen all of my money is being put in reserves!.

2co pays out twice a month, or weekly if you process a large volume.

Keeping reserves is a common practice for payment processors, it's a way to protect themselves should you end up with a bunch of chargebacks. If you have a legitimate business however it's nothing to worry about. It's just money on hold, you'll get it back.

I see 2co charges 5.5% per transaction + $0.45. I have a service with a $9.95 base subscription fee/month, so that works out to about 10% of my overall transaction.

Is there a good option other than 2co for low pricepoints, or subscription models? I suppose I could just raise my price by another $1/month.

Then you need an e-wallet like paypal/moneybookers, or a merchant account. Normal payment processors dont do instant payouts.

I stop using them because of the fees. Try Google Checkout. I been using them for about 2 months now and they wire money to your bank account everyday if you received and processed a payment.
