Settings of webohsting SERVER and INTERNET connection

    Hallo friends,

    please very much, I want build my own WEB server. I hope that this server will have 1000 - 10000 users with their own website.

    Please how many MBIT must have internet connection to this server for UPLOAD and DOWNLOAD?

    Building your own web server isn't so easy, you will have to know how to setup windows/linux ftp,apache, exim, mysql, bind, etc... Server can run even with 10mbit connection, more important is how stable is your connection, and you must have static ip. If you plan to rent web server, most of them use 100mbit connection and that's enough for any server.

    100Mbps port will be sufficient if you're hosting normal wordpress site.

    A web server is not just about server and bandwidth. You cannot just set up web server based on your own PC and high speed internet connection. It won't do the trick or it will not reliable at all. It is a wise choice to use hosting service from a companies instead of doing all yourself. It may be worth if your website has some big revenue model like $100,000+ per month.

    If you are still really want to be a self-hosted then I would recommend go with at least 100 Mbps back bone connection plus a backup server to prevent a long downtime.
