I have the IP my host gave me I'm using godaddy to make private namservers. I parked the domains to gain total DNS control. I created the A Record, but do i need to delete the one already in there that godaddy has? Also after I create the A Record do i change the nameservers for example ns1.hostservers.com ns2.hostservers.com or do i leave them as parked once i create the A Record because when i change them to my own i lose total DNS control. Please help im confused. Thank.

In Godaddy all I did was modify the name server details under the "Domain Host Summary" tab. Get your host to take care of all the other processes. Then for each domain on the server account, change the DNS to point to your hosting account.

You don't need to use "Total DNS Control" for setting up your own nameservers. Total DNS Control is only to be used if your website is hosted with godaddy

Expand the Domain Host summary tab, fill in the IPs your host gave you in both spots. Choose a name for each nameserver, XXX.YOURDOMAIN.COM. People usually name them NS1 & NS2.

Now just configure all domain names you'd like to host on these nameservers to resolve to them (by using "Set Nameservers" in godaddy), including the domain itself on which you created the nameservers, if you want it to resolve from these nameservers.
