Hello dp members! We're developing website for our Clickbank biz. It's a software pack, each program has its own registration key. The problem is - how to deliver keys to customers after money-transaction is done. As I know, clickbank offers only client's name and ID, but not an email. SO - where to take his email, or how to organize this?
Sign up to Aweber or GetResponse for collecting emails, and ask customer's email address on the thank you page. Make it clear for them, that they need to provide contact details in order to receive the registration key, otherwise they won't be able to use the software.
Get AWeber Aweber is an email list manager type of service, an autoresponder. Email marketing is one of the, if not the, most powerful weapon in a marketers arsenal, so the price is worth it by far. So here's what you do... First of all offer something free on the main sales page, in exchange for their name and email, and then you continue with follow up emails and sell them again through those. Then after they have bought, on your "thank you page" you just say "to access your products simply enter your name and email" - and you add them to your list. This is something you almost HAVE to do, if someone is willing to give you their credit card once - it's not unlikely that he will do so again (hint, hint ). Then you just automatically redirect them to a page where they can download their product. It's pretty simple. There are tons of different autoresponders but most of the pros and non-pros alike agree on AWeber as the best choice. Then we have the much more expensive email labs and so on. GetResponse is cheaper, but I've heard it's quite bulky, I haven't used it so I can't be certain. Good luck though.
