I set up an Adwords account ages ago but it has been dormant and I have never actually advertised with it (I just use the tools that come with it). Now I actually want to start to advertise and I see all these options online to purchase adwords vouchers, though the accounts must be under 14 days old. Bearing in mind my current account has had nothing on it, would it be fair to create a new account which would then become my sole Adwords account? At the moment I have not even registered my credit card with Google so I think it should be ok. Has anyone else tried this? Thanks for all help.
Michael T is right in that you can open as many accounts as you want, but you don't need a MCC (my client center) to do so.
Yeah, just open a new account since your current account have not been used before. Only when you have been running ads with your account for sometime, then your account history might affect the quality score of your ads.
Open as many accounts as you want just to redeem the vouchers, I too have adwords voucher for $25 lying around that can be used with any new account, willing to sell for some cash, pls PM
Sure you can just open an new account. Just keep in mind that that within the CPC formula the age of the account is taken into consideration. So open an account just to redeem 25 USD can be a bad deal in the long run if you advertise allot.
If you open a new account, you must cancel the old one. Either that or you must inform Google that you've got two accounts, after which they will tie the accounts together. They do this in order to prevent you from monopolising keywords. If they discover that you've been monopolising keywords, they'll ban you.
