Sunitha, usually the hosting provider should install the SSL certificate on the domain name. The whole process takes few hours right from issuing the SSL to installation. From where you got the SSL certificate ?

Sunitha, why don't you ask your Raja type host about it. I'm sure they will help you and let us know. How is everything going :)

They are one crap of a webhost. :p I had one client who migrated to our service from them, the issues he was facing is, got a VPS, installed cPanel/WHM, wanted to access cPanel via HTTP only instead of being re-directed to https everytime. Raised a support ticket with them, they replied by just putting the URL without HTTPS, i.e HTTP and said you could access it in that way.

    :D

To obtain an SSL certificate for a website hosted on your Virtual Private Server (VPS), you must first generate and submit a certificate signing request (CSR) to your Certification Authority (CA).

Once the CA has received the CSR, it will process the certificate request and, if the authentication process is successful, issue a signed certificate for your website. The CA will provide you with CSR-generation and certificate-installation instructions.

OP, glad to see your issue solved.

No, host is not responsible to install client SSL unless there are on managed hosting.
The whole process from generation of private key to installation normally less then 30 minutes.
