Setting up name servers for dedicated server

I bought dedicated server on Cifnet with Windows 2003 server. It has good price but totally unmanaged - so no counting on support.

As I'm a total newbie, I need step-by-step assistance. I need to set up a domain registered at GoDaddy on my server.

How do I setup name servers on my Win2003 Server? How can I bind them with CifNet's name servers? What name servers should I use for input in GoDaddy account?

Any help will be VERY useful!

yikes, if you are a total newbie why would you get an unmanaged dedicated server? Those things are complicated as hell... best thing would be to hire a server admin

I haven't used GoDaddy personally, but don't they offer DNS services? I register my names at namecheap.com, and I simply use their DNS servers. I point the DNS A records and MX accordingly to my dedicated server(s). This actually provides you a level of protection against your ISP if they ever wish to terminate your account(for who knows what reason)-- you can change DNS to another ISP much faster...

    That IS hell, really...

I have a domain registered @GD that points to GD nameservers. I want to create my own nameservers and make GD point to them.

But I stick with creating my own nameservers on Win2003...

    Perhaps

If you don't find a way to do it I would suggest looking for some paid help... much better than playing around with something you don't understand and can save you lots of headaches. This is a great place to look for that kind of help
