Setting up MX Records for Google Apps Email

Hello everyone, I'm hoping this is the best place to describe this type of issue. Any who, I am trying to setup an email system with Google Apps, however, when I follow Google's instructions on configuring my MX Records for my domain I receive the following error:

"It looks like your domain is configured incorrectly"

I have tried setting my domain up with Google Apps email numerous times, but I have received the same error each and every time.

Has anyone ever tried this and succeeded? I just don't know what I'm doing wrong at this point.

    More Information

I use GoDaddy as my domain registrar.

Instructions followed from the "Configuring Your MX Records: GoDaddy.com" page. I even used GoDaddy's configuration tool after setting up my MX records, the "It looks like your domain is configured incorrectly" error result occurred again.

sorry i overlooked your post i have set up google gmail for one of my domains it is quite an easy thing to do, where are your dns servers hosted ? godaddy?

for godaddy you enter these details

    host type order data
    @ mx 10 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    @ mx 20 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    @ mx 30 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    @ mx 40 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
    @ mx 50 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.

it should be smiler with total dns. you may want to also delete the mail A entry and create a new subdomain and redirect it to your gmail account to make it easier to find.
