I am newbie when it comes to directory ownership and setup. Assume zero knowledge I have a wordpress blog which is targetted to a set of people who would actually pay for a directory listing. I was wondering if i can setup a directory under WP or just set it up under the main domain using some external PHP based directory. Any thoughts? Besides that I MUST have the following: 1) All pages created must be SEO compliant with SEO friendly URL. e.g. www.sitename.com/directory/provider/newjersey/newjersey-blacksmith.html where Newjersey is state which should be auto-populated based on country/state data. 2) Payment Gateway: sorry my knowledge is weak here. Never used any payment gateway. 2Co and Worldpay seems OK. Too much fraud on paypal so I am thinking not to use them and secondly taking money out from paypal is pain. you guys suggest anything which is cheaper and has good service? 3) The payment gateway of course needs to pay me directly to my bank account (non-US) or send me check every month or 15 days. guys appreciate your suggestion and help. yes you can earn through directory but not that much but if you have gud traffic you can earn through AdSense ...on other hand directory only accp paypal for payment and if you want to select other payment mode like ppl can pay u through other medium like moneybookers, e-gold, alert pay or any other then you have to buy modes i dont think they are for free. you can have either a separate domain for directory or can link it with your blog if your blog get nice traffic then you can attract by giving linik to your directory no need to buy separate one for your directory.. it will take extra time money and effort .. other you can check my signature for some directory if need any help let me know thanks..
Thanks for your help. I am aware of the charges and am ready to pay. As i said, my directory is not targetted to webmasters, its targetted to a set of people who would pay using their credit cards. Using my existing domain name is very important for keyword optimisation. I found a good directory script http://www.phpmydirectory.com/features.html anyone has any experience with them?
