Setting up a proxy on my VPS

    How would I setup a private password protected proxy server (vp5 or http) on my VPS?

    Anyone got any links or guides etc?

    Not a web based one, the sort that would run, I want to be able to put the proxy from my VPS into external pcs so I can browse us web pages with the servers us addresses.
