I'm maintaining a WP blog, sadly I'm not yet familiar to it, and I have to questions regarding comments.

    1. How to set a name in comment name to nofollow or maybe disable it?
    2. What is "Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this post?", why the other admin wants me to "unchecked" this option?

    1. Do you want nofollow specific names in your comments? Do you want to disable a name from commenting?

Settings > Reading. In the big box, type in the name that you wish to block.

    2. That means that every time you link to a blog when you write a post - the blog post will automatically get a comment saying that you linked to it (called pingback). Having this enabled makes your blog posting slower, and other admins may want you to uncheck it because they find pingbacks very annoying. At least I know that I do.

I could be wrong on #2. It's either called pingback or trackback.

Actually that's the default to be set to nofollow. If you provide a link, which is always a good idea, we can show you the code outputted.

Thanks! I just recently knew that it is set to nofollow.
