setting dns and nameservers

i been some help setting the name servers and dns settings in my dedicated server..i added the settings but nothing seems to work,this is what i did

registered the domain name vidztec.com and assigned the 2 ips for the nameservers as ns1.vidztec.com and ns2.vidztec.com

in my server control panel i added the domain assigned the IP and in the dns settings i added as following



but nothin works...any help regarding this problem

 

You need to register your nameservers with your registrar. Or else, it will not work.

 

i registered them and they are in my host files too

 

Your DNS settings seems to be alright but your server is not responding to any ping request.

Your DNS server is not responding to request. Are you sure the DNS server is running?
