I set out with a plan of gaining 5 backlinks a day. I have a calender on my desk and I have already marked it for today. I thought keeping it to a reasonable number would leave me hungry to build more tomorrow. I was right. Maybe 5 wasn't enough. Do you set link goals? When you create a new site, or target a new keyword... do you say, OK 10 links a day. Or, I need 100 links for this phrase... Anyone else do anything like this? Just keeps me on track I guess. I think I'm going to change my goal to 4 Directory links and 2 site links. be it recip or paid, or whatever.
well i personally never set goals for anything . i just work when i want to work . However its difficult to get links at start , but as time goes more and more peoples will know about your site , hence makes it easy to get links .
well, yes. but I mean doing manual submissions can become time consuming as well... somedays I can do 20 or more, and other days I don't want to even think about it. That's why I'm trying to set a small goal. I mean if within a month I have 150 different, but decent quality, sites linking to me then I'd be happy
First, here is a new links directory: directory.proud-collector.com (I can't post a live link since my account here is new) Second, I was wondering if you're goal is based on reciprocal links, one way back links only, or both?
yes, i try to reach a quota per day but i still consider the quality. my priority right now is article writing & submission, this really helps in the long run
Rather than setting Daily Goals, its better to have weekly goals. Writing Articles, Launching Press Release and submitting them help you to achieve your goals as per the preset goals.
Yes, I do keep daily goals.Actually,From This month onwards I have started posting truly. Each day I see that I reach my minimum target.
I have overall aims that are broken up into daily goals as steps to achieving the end result. I also have a large calendar pinned to my wall, with all my daily activities on. So far, I'm right on track with my current project Sometimes I do have to rejuggle things though, since various little oddities always crop up and spoil the best laid plans.
i have so far just been sumbitting to directories. when i have the time im going to write a few articles, from what ive heard they're good for traffic, links and pr
Ya I'm doing the same at the moment. We'll see hwo things go. Worst case scenario we'll get high PR backlinks even if we dont get traffic
I think article writing is OK, but... it can be painfull. When you find your article on some 2nd rate spam site with all the content but none of the links And what's worse, I found one guy using MY anchor text but linking to a different site. Articles are like recip links I think... focus on keeping them as less than 10% of total linkage. write damn good articles and keep them on your site instead of submitting them for others. people will link to your articles naturally.
I'm wondering what a good ratio would be to add a day.. if i have 130 links in google and my site is 5 years old.. how many could I add each day and still be cool?
well, couple things to think about. For 1... just because you add 5 links a day doesn't mean Google will add 5 links a day for you. They still need to find those pages featuring your links, and index it. even if the page as PR, they still need to revisit and find your link. So you won't gain the link automatically. add to that, the fact that directory links often take a day to a week to actually appear.
Well i can't follow this daily routine But surely i can compleate total no of links within a certain time frame!
