I found there's two schools of thinking when it comes to setting goals. The people who encourage you to set big goals and the people who encourage you to set realistic goals.

Which do you feel is the most effective and why?

I must say Realistic Goals is good
before you take a jump with Big Goals
but still considering your goals with a
    realistic mind.

When setting personal goals, 'realistic goals' are an excuse for not being great; they are for timid souls lacking imagination and passion.
