Set up 404 re-direct to home page - Please help Urgent

    Hi,

    I need some urgent help with a small, easy programming job. Happy to pay for services through paypal.

    I am replacing an existing site with a new site, and quite a few of the existing urls are different, therefore, I would like to set-up a 404 error re-direct so unfound pages go to home page automatically.

    I tried to add 'ErrorDocument 404 /index.php' on the last line into the .htaccess file but it didnt work (might have something to do with fact that I need to do this for an add-on domain in cpanel, i may not have put it in correct place.

    Can you help please?

    simple is that, you can code a 404 error page, you can redirect from that error page to home page..

    also you can change settings of .htaccess ;)
