Set txt file to writable

    hello,
    can someone teach me how to make a txt file writable? I know I'm suppose to use the command:
    chmod 666 ad_network_ads_398.txt

    but I don't know where to put it.

    If you have shell access you can do it from the command line. However if you have cpanel you can just find the file in the file manager and change the permissions there.

    Thanks alchamy. I got it to work by going to the cpanel.
