Set Geographic Target question

I have a domain with the .DJ extension for a local disc jockey service. It is already optomized quite well for its geographic area (ranking first for fargo dj, fargo djs, fargo disc jockeys, etc.). Would there be any benefit to me setting the geographic location? If I set a geographic location, will I loose rankings for non-geographic search terms?

    Its not that..
If you are well ranked in regional search engines, you should now try it globally.
