Session Management Question

    Hey there,

I have been trying to figure out what is causing lag on my client's server. I was advised that it may be session variables.

When somebody visits my clients website, information such as geodata, hostname, ip address are stored in session variables.

I printed out all session variables when the server started to lag and noticed there were quite a few entries from search engines.

Now I know search engines have javascript disabled, so I am guessing search engines dont accept cookies.

If that was the case, would the server still keep track of cookies they attept to issue? And because the search engine never gets the cookie, the server tries to give the search engine a new cookie everytime?

    Is this a common problem?

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

You should install SeeFusion and FusionReactor to monitor the server, it will tell you exactly what is going on.
