SEs like pages that are updated - I will do a test

    Hi,

Have read from many articles and elsewhere that SEs put pages that are regularly updated in favor. (blogs etc.)

I am making an interesting experient, most for fun.

On a site I have I have a web hosting db of 200 hosts and on the front page I run a MySQL query to show 50 random of those on the page with their description etc.

The intro text on the beginning of the site is also random and there is 5 different versions, all controlled with PHP.

So if you reload the site the whole content changes, even the heading tags.

Now I want to take it to the extreme - most for fun - the whole design also will change. Same theme and everything, you hit reload and you think it is a different site :)

Now for the SE spiders, would they think that the content is being updated all the time?

As a serious note I think it can be effective to have like 2 paragraphs on your start page that are random with 5 versions, visitors will also think you are updating regularly. I think it is a good idea actually.

    What do you think?

    Your right,

I rotate paragraphs, move links up and down, swap graphics, all in all to keep getting spidered every day..:) ;)
